Why the name “MB STUDIOS?”
The Muehlebach Hotel, hence the MB, is a historic hotel in Downtown Kansas City, Mo. that was visited by the Beatles, Elvis Presley, and every President from Theodore Roosevelt to Ronald Reagan. Originally built in 1915, the hotel rose to its greatest era under the ownership of Barney Allis, the great-grandfather of MB Studios owner Jeff Kovitz. Inspired by Allis’ grit and work ethic, as well as the hotel’s grandeur, classic design, and prominent place in American history, Kovitz named his company after the hotel.
